Why dont they teach soul music in black history month?

The musical aspects of the civil rights movement is just as important like Motown how Berry Gordy formed Motown or even classical jazz,big band.You wonder why so many young blacks today have horrible taste in music,they listen to Beyonce,and all these lame mainstream rappers and they probably have never heard of "Marvin Gaye".Alot of artists that are still making good music aren't being well known so why dont they teach old African American music which has good cause young black kids dont know anything about music anymore.
