How do I convince my mom I want to go to public school?

I've never been to a public school before and now my mom has moved us to another city and she wants me to enroll in another private school but I really don't want to. I'd rather go to public school. I've tried to talk to her about it but she won't listen to me. I mean she has this stupid stereotype about public schools and not to mention the girls at my old Catholic school were really no better then some of the stereotypes she labels public schools with they were just more sneaky about it. I don't get her fascination with wanting me to go to some Catholic school. How do I convince her to let me go to public school here. I'm already not happy here so she should at least let up on something.
