How come soul music is never taught in black history month?

The musical aspects of the civil rights movement should be really taught cause blacks made great music epecially Motown,jazz instead of todays music like Beyonce,and all these dumb rappers,I really hate rap and R&B music they are a disgrace to the black musicians of the past.Beyonce,Wacka and these these, "aw shawdy you sexy you light skinned not black" seriously.Maybe young people would be making good music and have knowledge of old school soul artists cause alot of younger blacks dont even know who Marvin Gaye is.
